The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) is predicting an active Atlantic hurricane season June 1 through November 30 with 13 to 20 named storms in 2021. Three to five of the storms are forecast to be major hurricanes, and forecasters also predict a 60 percent chance that the total number of storms will be above normal for the year.
