2025 Carter Con Expo & Operator Challenge Wrap Up
Carter Machinery’s flagship event was a huge success. This year’s event took place over two days – June 11-12 with more than 1,000 attendees passing through the gates at Meadow Event Park in Doswell, VA. The event showcased the latest Cat® equipment, attachments, and technology, as well as other products and Carter’s extensive parts, service, and rental offerings.
Attendees learned about equipment through live demos and displays of next-generation Cat machines, rental equipment, and industry-related technology, and talked with 200-plus industry experts from Carter Machinery, Caterpillar, SITECH, and other top-tier industry partners and sponsors.
Carter Con’s highlight was the Cat Global Operator Challenge that saw 150 contestants demonstrate their skills as machine operators behind the controls of Cat’s latest products. Operators competed in events to test their agility, speed, and accuracy – including “The Load & Go” while operating a Medium Wheel Loader, the “Stay On Track” obstacle course using a Compact Track Loader, and “The Big Dig” while trenching with a Medium Excavator. The overall winner received $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to the Eastern Regional Operator Challenge Finals in Clayton, NC, on September 22.
