“Tell Us About Yourself” Sweepstakes
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor. This Sweepstakes is sponsored by Carter Machinery Company, Inc., 1330 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, VA 24153 (“Sponsor”).
2. Eligibility. The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Delaware who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor, Caterpillar Inc., and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, dealers, and advertising/promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each, are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.
3. Entry Period. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 a.m. ET on July 23, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on August 7, 2026 (the “Entry Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.
4. How to Enter. During the Entry Period, complete the linked survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TellUsAboutYourself and submit it with a valid email address. Limit one (1) entry per person. Entries beyond the limit, or entries submitted through multiple email addresses or identities, are void. Automated, robotic, or bulk entries are prohibited and will be disqualified.
5. Prize. One (1) winner will receive one (1) Cat® 55 Quart Cooler, approximate retail value (ARV): $450. The prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty except any applicable manufacturer’s warranty. The prize is non-transferable; no substitution or cash equivalent except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
6. Prize Pickup — Please Read Carefully. The prize must be claimed and picked up in person at a Carter Machinery store location within Sponsor’s dealership territory; see www.cartermachinery.com/locations for all store locations. The winner is responsible for arranging pickup at a mutually agreed date and time during normal business hours within 30 days of notification. The winner is responsible for any travel and any costs associated with pickup. Sponsor does not ship the prize. If the winner is unable or unwilling to pick up the prize in person within the stated period, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
7. Winner Selection & Notification. One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries on or about August 14, 2026, conducted in Virginia by Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. The winner will be notified by email at the address provided within 7 days of the drawing. If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, fails to respond, is found ineligible, or fails to comply with these Official Rules, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected, time permitting.
8. Odds. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period.
9. General Conditions. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of Sponsor, which are final. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or otherwise violates these rules. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or garbled entries, or for any technical or network failures. The winner may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release before the prize is awarded.
10. Release of Liability. By entering, participants release Sponsor, Caterpillar Inc., and their respective affiliates, and each of their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or from the acceptance, possession, or use of the prize.
11. Publicity. Except where prohibited, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use the winner’s name, city and state, and likeness for promotional purposes without further notice or compensation.
12. Privacy & Use of Information. Information collected through the survey and entry is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://www.cartermachinery.com/privacy/.
13. Taxes. All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
14. Winner List. For the name of the winner, send a request to 8362 Richfood Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116 by August 31, 2026.
15. Governing Law. These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
