Fluid analysis is the fastest, most accurate, most reliable way to see what's going on inside your engines and machines. Carter's Fluid Analysis Lab has the trained staff and cutting-edge technology needed to detect potential problems before they become major failures.
S-O-S Fluid Analysis...An Investment In Lower Costs
Detects problems early so they can be repaired before failure
Schedule downtime to fit your workload
Monitors positives as well as negatives so you don't pay for unnecessary repairs
Better manage budgets by predicting repairs, downtime and equipment life
Develop complete service history helpful when evaluating performance and planning replacement purchases
Documents service history for a higher price at trade-in or sale

Interpretation Analysis results are useless without the knowledge to interpret them. Every sample which goes through our lab is interpreted by a trained professional so you get useful information which will help you manage your equipment maintenance, reduce unscheduled downtime and increase overall productivity.
TAKING FLUID SAMPLES:
The results from a fluid analysis are only as good as the sample taken. The following document outlines the process of taking a good sample.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR REPORT:
1. Customer Information - Name, address, contact, etc. Contact us if you have inaccurate or missing information so we can get your results to you more quickly.
2. Equipment Information - Gives a summary of the equipment type and specific information such as serial number, model, etc.
3. Fluid Sample Information - Details fluid brand and weight as well as reference numbers for the current analysis.
4. Overall Evaluation - Overall summary of the test results as follows:
Normal - No action necessary at this time.
Reportable - Requires action. Low urgency.
Abnormal - Requires action. Moderate urgency.
Critical - Failure is immanent.
5. Results Analysis & Tracking - This interpretation of the results by our trained lab technicians indicates potential problems and suggests action to be taken. Divided into four sections, the first shows the current analysis while the remaining three allow you to track equipment condition over time.
6. Technical Data - Data collected indicates wear rate, oil cleanliness and condition and the detection of fuel, water and glycol. These elements combined give a clear indication of the condition of your engines and machines.
7. Abbreviations - Descriptions of the various abbreviations used within the report.
